Shaq Issued A Restraining Order

Published by noseygirl under Uncategorized Edit This

Judge Richard Hicks has issued a restraining order against Shaquille O’Neal after an Atlanta hip-hop artist accused him of stalking.

Alexis Miller, also known as “MaryJane” claims that the NBA star “threatened her with bodily harm and made harassing phone calls in which he would breathe heavily into the phone before hanging up.” She alleges that her abrupt end to their physical relationship also caused him to threaten to ruin her career. Alexis is reportedly an independent recording artist.

If that isn’t enough, Alexis claims to have numerous e-mails from Shaq that have “caused her concern”. According to the court documents, one of the e-mails reads: “I dnt no who the fuk u think u dealin wit u will neva be heard from one phone call is all I gotta make no try me. Sho me.” Shaq has also allegedly sent her “an unsolicited vulgar and offensive illustration of a man physically restraining a woman while forcing her to engage in sexual intercourse with him.”

All of this is bad timing because I have read numerous reports of Shaq and Shawnie getting back together and not going through with their divorce. If you remember, Shaq accused Shawnie of taking money and using it on a personal trainer she was supposedly dating. Just when it looks like they’re able to forgive and forget, here comes Alexis with her allegations.

According to Alexis’ lawyer L. David Wolfe, she has known Shaq for about a year-and-a-half. Why does she come out with these accusations now? She reportedly has several e-mails from the NBA star, so I’m just wondering why she didn’t take action so much earlier? Either they recently broke up, and I’m talking days or even weeks ago and she’s bitter, or she wanted to collect as many e-mails as she could to build up an expensive, I mean airtight case against him. Either way, Shawnie needs to decide if this is really what she wants to be a part of. I know that they have both deceived the other numerous times throughout their relationship, but does it ever end? You always hear of Shaq being with another woman, whether it’s from the other woman’s mouth or Kobe’s. Then you hear of one story concerning Shawnie, and he’s ready to divorce her. I just think that if he behaved the way a good husband should, she would’ve never did what she did with the money–and the trainer.

Shaq is scheduled to appear before the judge on September 4th. I’ll keep you guys posted with this one. I can’t wait to see how this plays out.

Wendy Williams Picked Up For A Full Season

Published by noseygirl under Uncategorized Edit This

Did you hear the news? The Wendy Williams Show has been picked up by Fox!!! Isn’t that great?! I’ve thought about doing it myself, but have never seen a show like hers before.

It debuted on 7/14/08 on Fox Channel 11 in L.A. I knew of Wendy, like most of us have, from her nationally syndicated radio show “The Wendy Williams Experience”. Or you may have heard her name being thrown about in Whitney Houston’s mouth or in Mariah Carey’s song “Touch My Body”. Wendy is very notorious for her ‘no holds barred’ talk about celebrities. But hey, she’s only telling the truth. Many times, no one likes to hear the truth, especially when it’s airing their dirty laundry. Here in L.A. it’s on KDAY 93.5 11am-3pm PST. Anyways, she starts the show off with hot topics–about 19 minutes worth to be exact, and it’s commercial free. The subject matter, of course, is celebrity entertainment and “talk”. Throughout the show, she allows her audience (which is always dressed to impress) to make comments or ask questions of her guests.

She has at least one celebrity guest on per show, unless she’s doing a cooking segment. If she does cooking, then there will probably be 2 celebrity guests. I have personally enjoyed when Rapper/Director/Producer/Chef Coolio dropped in. He made his “Soul Rolls” which as he calls it, blends the Black and Asian cultures together. They were magnificent!! How do I know?? I made them the very next day for my family and my expertise with them keeps getting better and better. Anyways, during the last 15 minutes of the show, she has a segment called “Ask Wendy”. This is where she goes into the audience and gives her personal opinion of whatever they’re asking. It’s very much like the segment on her radio show. She doesn’t cut any corners or try to dumb anything down. She tells you straight out what she thinks and how you should handle certain situations.

I like the freshness of it. She doesn’t try to hide the fact if she messes up on a name or word. She pulls her notes for Hot Topics somewhere out of her wig, shoes, wardrobe, and even just out of the sky for every show! She’s not afraid to tell you about her personal experiences. It’s like a talk show that’s not scripted. That’s what’s so great about it. She doesn’t take herself seriously and others shouldn’t as well. It’s a fresh approach to new ideas. I love her show, I hope she doesn’t change a thing about it, and I wish her much more success in the future.

Theme Song: “…How you doin’…shout it out!!”

Jeff Johnson Meets Bill Maher?

Published by noseygirl under Uncategorized Edit This

Did you guys catch “The Truth” with Jeff Johnson last night on BET?  I thought he did an excellent job.  He never disappoints me and always approaches things with understanding, dignity, and knowledge.  A graduate of the University of Toledo, Jeff has a long history with BET.

His show aired last night at 11pm and I was all eyes and ears.  I loved hearing about the politics, but Bernie Mac and Isaac Hayes talk was very interesting.  I like the new take BET has decided to take on the news.  Jeff Johnson has hosted the controversial shows “Hip-Hop vs. America” in the past, and he appeared as a regular on Rap City as Big Tigger’s cousin Jeff.  He is the former director of the NAACP’s Youth and College Division, and he is former Vice President for the Hip-Hop Summit Action Network.  He brings a freshness to the news and doesn’t offer an overbearing personality to go with it.

I enjoy watching him and listening to what he has to say.  I know that he has certainly been driven to do this by watching what direction the world is going in today.  “The Truth” deals with the week’s headline news as well as issues that affect the Black Community.  I wish him all of the luck in the world and I take my hat off to him.  Thank you.

Baby Pics, Anyone?

Published by noseygirl under Uncategorized Edit This

What is this with celebrities selling photos of their children? I can’t understand it. I understand it. They make enough money to give to charity, so that can’t be it. I know they want to be in control of the situation, but how is that being in control. You let one magazine have the photos and then everyone will have them. I think it would be easy to keep your children hidden from the paps if you really wanted to. If they’re newborn, they shouldn’t be out anyways. Keep them at home and when they need to go to the doctor’s, leave home the way you normally do and keep them covered. Celebrities have all kinds of nannies and other people to help them with kids. I know a lot of them do it to “get it overwith”, but I really think that if they wanted to, they could keep them a sweet little mystery until they feel they’re able to face the real world. I still can’t tell you what Michael Jackson’s kids look like! If they do it to show them off, I still say that we can do without. They look nothing like them as a newborn, so we can wait.

Atlanta Club Dream Gets Shot Up-Update

Published by noseygirl under Uncategorized Edit This

Well it seems like we’ve found out a little bit more regarding the shooting at Club Dream in Atlanta. TMZ reports:

According to law enforcement sources, things got violent around Atlanta’s Club Dream when patrons heard that members of the private security team was double charging people to get into the VIP area — where stars like Usher, Diddy and Nelly were partying.

Cops say pushing and shoving broke out, and as the masses were being thrown outside, that’s when a shot rang out. A security guard was treated for a shot in the arm, but has already been released from the hospital.

We’re told the ongoing investigation does not involve any of the celebrities … nor their entourages. So far no arrests have been made.

This is why I no longer frequent clubs. It’s just not worth it. Find a friend with a nice house or backyard and have your party there. These celebrities often put themselves in danger like this for reasons beyond my understanding. If you have a private party with friends and family only, you don’t get drama like this. I know that if I was a celebrity, you couldn’t pay me to have a party at a public club. It’s ridiculous!!!

Bianca of ANTM and “Hairspray’s” Nikki Blonsky Arrested

Published by noseygirl under Uncategorized Edit This

Bianca Golden, ANTM hopeful and Nikki Blonsky of “Hairspray” were arrested in Turks and Caicos Islands in the Caribbean.

It was reportedly started when Nikki saved five seats for her family in the lounge. Bianca’s family arrived and wanted to sit. This apparently sparked an all out drag out between both family’s. There was yelling, cursing, and Nikki sustained a bite to her foot.

Both Bianca and Nikki were arrested and charged with assault. Nikki was charged with two counts. What’s surprising and devastating is that Nikki’s father, Carl, was charged with inflicting bodily harm to Eleine Golden, Bianca’s mother!!!!!

Both girls have been released on bail, but Nikki’s father, Carl, will be in jail until August 8th.

TMZ reports that Eleine Golden had to be airlifted to a Florida hospital. She’s in the ICU with a serious head injury.

Okay, why are people getting so serious about some seats? I just want to know were these the only five seats in the lounge? Or did they get upset just because she was saving seats? I know how it is when you go to the show, graduation, whatever the occasion, and people are saving seats. Usually people respect that and move on. But there’s always an exception.

I think that Bianca and her family should’ve found somewhere else to sit. And if there was nowhere else to sit, chalk it up as a loss. There’s never a good reason to get violent over anything. Now they both have a police record and they both should be feeling guilty.

That being said, Nikki’s dad was totally out of line. To beat on a woman for any reason is irresponsible and ignorant. What kind of message is he sending to his daughter? I know she’s a grown woman, but parents always set examples for their children, no matter how old they are. Doesn’t he know that?

I’ve thought about why he chose to do what he did: Either Nikki was getting jumped by Eleine and someone else and he felt like he needed to protect her, or he just overreacted to a hostile situation and got caught up. If he wanted to protect her from being beat on by more than one person, all he had to do was push her or them off of her. The need to beat someone in the head until they have serious injury is inhumane and unnecessary. I saw pictures of Nikki walking away with authorities and she doesn’t look like she was doing bad at all. Whatever the case, “inflicting bodily harm” isn’t stiff enough. Eleine Golden is in ICU and that sounds more like “I’m fighting for my life” to me. Throw the book at him!!!

Atlanta Club Dream Gets Shot Up

Published by noseygirl under Uncategorized Edit This

TMZ reports that there were shots fired inside of Club Dream early this morning in Atlanta. It was producer/performer Jermaine Dupri’s afterparty and there were several celebrities in tow: P Diddy, Puff Daddy, Diddy, whatever his name is now-Sean Combs, Gabrielle Union, Larenz Tate, and Usher.

They managed to get away without harm, but there are reports of one minor injury to some unknown patron. No word on if there are suspects in custody.

It sounds like a lack of security to me. People really need to be more careful of their surroundings. They need to have airport security now at all clubs. It’s just not safe to party anywhere anymore. Someone always has to ruin a good thing.

Judge Removed From Jena 6 Case

Published by noseygirl under Uncategorized Edit This

The Associated Press reports:

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — The judge overseeing the criminal cases for the remaining Jena Six defendants was removed against his will Friday for making questionable remarks about the teenagers.

Judge J.P. Mauffray Jr. had acknowledged calling the teens “trouble makers” and “a violent bunch” but insisted he could be impartial. Defense attorneys disagreed and asked that he be removed.

Judge Thomas M. Yeager, who was appointed by the state Supreme Court to decide whether Mauffray should be taken off the case, found there was an appearance of impropriety.

“The right to a fair and impartial judge is of particular importance in the present cases,” Yeager wrote.

Six black teens were arrested and initially charged with attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder in connection with a December 4, 2006, attack on fellow Jena High School student Justin Barker, who is white. The charges were later reduced.

Jesse Ray Beard, Robert Bailey Jr., Carwin Jones, Bryant Purvis and Theo Shaw now face aggravated second-degree battery charges. Beard is charged as a juvenile.

Mychal Bell is the only member of the group that has been tried. He was originally charged as an adult with attempted murder. The charge was reduced before a jury convicted him last June of aggravated second-degree battery.

In September, an appeals court overturned the verdict and ordered Bell tried as a juvenile. He pleaded guilty to a juvenile charge of second-degree battery. He now lives in Monroe, La., with a foster family and is attending school.

Bell’s attorney Louis Scott said he would also ask to have Mauffray removed from Bell’s case. Although Bell’s plea will remain unchanged, Scott said he did not want Mauffray to oversee the teen’s probation.

The case aggravated racial tensions in the tiny, central Louisiana town, and led to a massive civil rights demonstration last September.

Mauffray was out of town, court officials said, and would not comment on the ruling.

District Attorney Reed Walters said he may appeal the decision.

“Whatever ultimately happens concerning the judge, this does not mean these cases go away,” he said. “It will just take longer to get them to trial. However, I may seek to have the decision overturned.”

An attorney for Beard said he hoped it the Louisiana Supreme Court would quickly appoint a new judge to hear the remaining cases.

“Everyone is entitled to a fair judge, not the judge they want,” attorney David Utter said. “It mystifies me why the district attorney would fight this.”

First of all, there’s no way one can be impartial when you’ve already stated your opinions about one group. These teens have been unfairly prosecuted and this is just prolonging their freedom. Why haven’t the kids that started the attacks been prosecuted? Where’s the justice people? When you have no money, no power, this is what happens to our kids. If the United States justice system can’t protect them, who will?

Mychal Bell was a talented kid with a bright future. Because of the ignorance of others and the failure of their parents to raise decent human beings, he will probably never get a fair chance. I’m so sorry that D.A. Reed Walters is allowed to prosecute ANYWHERE. I just don’t agree with people who are not impartial to others regardless of their race having the power to prosecute and put people in jail. It’s not right and I think that there should be a law against it. If this were two groups of Caucasian kids, no one would’ve been in jail. And if they were, they would have only been in long enough for their parents to come and get them.

In conclusion, racist people should choose other professions. They should be able to admit they’re racist in public, and they should not be working with the general public.

Person Of Interest Named in Missing Girls’ Case

Published by noseygirl under Uncategorized Edit This

San Dimas, CA

The biological mother of a missing 12-year-old girl is being named a person of interest in connection with the disappearance of her daughter and that of an 8-year-old girl.

The woman being urged to contact authorities, is 38-year-old Iris Pineda Zavala of Monrovia, the mother of 12-year-old Estephanie Flores, said Lt. Roxanna Hart of the sheriff’s San Dimas Station.

Flores and Robin Lemus were reported missing shortly before 7 a.m. Monday, along with the family’s dark blue 1998 Lexus ES300, license number 3XSR179, said Detective Elizabeth Laub, also of the San Dimas Sheriff’s Station.

Sheriff’s detectives believes that Flores knows how to drive and that both girls subsequently may have been assisted by an adult.

The missing car has not been located, even though it’s equipped with a LoJack anti-theft device, authorities said.

Detectives were “trying to figure out what their motive was in leaving,” Laub said. “We have no leads.”

The girls were last seen at the San Dimas home late Sunday, the San Gabriel Valley Tribune reported. The foster parents told authorities that the Lexus had a full tank of gas.

The younger girl’s father, Felico Lemus, showed up at the San Dimas Station after his home in Glendale was searched by deputies, who said they wanted to see if the daughter was in the house.

Lemus reported that his daughter had text-messaged him several times last week complaining about the treatment at her foster parents’ home.

“I’m not surprised they would run away,” Lemus said.

Flores is Latino, 4 feet 11 inches tall and 130 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. She was wearing a blue sweater and blue jeans. Lemus is Latino, 4 feet 9 inches tall and 70 pounds, with brown hair and eyes. She was wearing pajamas.

Anyone with information on the girls’ whereabouts was urged to call the sheriff’s department at (909) 450-2711.
